Summary

Dawnwater is a habit, goal, reminder, and reflection app built to stay simple and private. Dawnwater does not collect, sell, rent, share, or analyze your personal app data. The app has no account system, advertising network, cloud user database, analytics service, subscription system, or in-app purchase system.

Plain English: your habits, goals, notes, reminders, streaks, settings, statistics, and backups belong to you. They stay on your device unless you personally export or share them.

Information Dawnwater collects

Dawnwater does not collect personal data from the app. The developer does not receive your habits, goals, reminders, notes, reflections, streaks, completion history, settings, or backup files.

Offline use and on-device storage

Dawnwater is designed to work without Wi-Fi or cellular service after installation. App information is stored locally so you can continue using Dawnwater offline. Dawnwater does not operate a server that stores a copy of your app data.

If you delete the app, erase your device, or change devices without making a backup, the developer cannot recover your local information.

Device permissions

If you enable notifications, Dawnwater schedules reminders locally on your device. Reminder text is not sent to a Dawnwater server, and you can change notification access at any time in iOS Settings.

When you choose to import or restore a private backup, iOS may show a system file or library picker. Dawnwater reads only the item you select for that action. It does not scan your photo library, collect your media, or upload the selected item.

Backups and transfers

Dawnwater can create a local backup only when you choose to export one. You decide where that file is saved and whether it is moved or shared. Dawnwater does not automatically upload backup files or retain a server copy.

Keep backup files private because they may contain the information you entered in Dawnwater. Do not send a backup to support unless you intentionally choose to share its contents.

Website and support email

This website does not use advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, contact forms, or marketing cookies. Its purpose is to explain Dawnwater and provide public privacy and support information. The hosting provider may process routine technical request information under its own terms.

If you email dawnwater.app@gmail.com, the information you include is handled by your email provider and the Dawnwater support inbox so the developer can respond. Do not include private app data unless it is necessary and you choose to share it.

Your choices and control

You can create, edit, or delete your Dawnwater information inside the app. You may remove the app to delete its remaining local data, subject to the way iOS handles device backups. You control notifications through iOS Settings and control any backup files you export.

Dawnwater is a general productivity app and is not specifically directed to children. Because the app does not collect app data, the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Dawnwater.

If Dawnwater's data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before those practices take effect.
